Tacoma Waldorf School feels strongly about making a Waldorf education as accessible for all children as possible, and offers a very competitive tuition for the services provided. In addition, TWS offers tuition assistance to make a Waldorf education even more affordable for our families.
As a small-but-growing independent and nonprofit school, much of the expense of providing our services is funded by tuition. But not all. Therefore, Tacoma Waldorf engages in a number of fundraisers, with one of the largest being our annual auction event. This themed event provides a delicious dinner, silent and live auctions, and many other opportunities to support Tacoma Waldorf School and have a great night out.
Each class of students at the school spends time each spring handcrafting an auction item; family members procure donated items; people offer experiences for bidders to take part in, like summer camps or crafting classes. All these things contribute to help Tacoma Waldorf raise thousands of dollars each spring to support the mission of Tacoma Waldorf and the students being shaped at our school.
Please join us at this year’s annual auction. This year’s theme is the Roaring 20’s: A Night at the Speakeasy, and will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at 6 p.m. at the STAR Center (3873 S. 66th St., Tacoma WA 98409). Enjoy a delicious dinner and a night of fun including a silent auction, beverages at our cash bar, and a live auction with fundraising auctioneer Laura Michalek as we come together to support this very worthy cause.
