Young children are provided time to rest.

Tacoma Waldorf School’s After School Program offers a safe environment where the children will find holistic childhood playtime. It is available to children enrolled in our Kindergarten, Preschool and Grade School.

Old-fashioned but ageless indoor activities such as string games, origami, crafts, board games, drawing and reading, and dynamic outdoor activities such as jump-roping, hula-hooping, and various tag games are part of a daily routine.

The Kindergarten and Preschool session is a gentle extension of our morning program. We will have lunch and an extended rest time, then embark on adventures and share the stewardship of the kindergarten space.

We offer options for families needing shorter or longer afternoons, the occasional afternoon, as well as those families requiring regular afternoons. After care is available until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. When possible, the program may also be available during school breaks, parent/teacher conferences, and holidays.
